- Provider
- Shantel White, DNP
- Includes
- Full hormone panel
- Follow-up

The labs we run.
Estradiol, progesterone, FSH, LH, total + free testosterone, SHBG, DHEA-S, thyroid (TSH, free T3, free T4, reverse T3), vitamin D, ferritin, A1c, lipid panel. We look at the whole picture — hormones don't operate in isolation.
Treatment approach.
Stage-appropriate. Perimenopause often needs progesterone first to stabilize sleep and mood. True menopause typically needs estrogen + progesterone (+ testosterone for libido and body composition). We dose to symptom relief and lab targets, not protocols.
What changes.
Within 2–4 weeks: sleep, mood, anxiety. Within 8–12 weeks: libido, energy, brain fog, joint pain. Within 3–6 months: body composition, skin quality, hair density.
— Perimenopause & Menopause Care questions from Gilbert patients
Good to know.
- How much is perimenopause care in Gilbert?
- Perimenopause & Menopause Care at Tulua Medical starts at $250 for the initial consult + labs review. Treatment plans (BHRT, peptides, nutrition) priced separately.
- Am I in perimenopause?
- If you're 35–50 and experiencing irregular cycles, sleep disruption, mood changes, brain fog, low libido, weight gain or new anxiety — likely yes. Lab work confirms it.
- Do I need hormones, or can I just change my lifestyle?
- Some patients respond well to lifestyle, strength training, and targeted supplementation. Many need hormone support. Our consult separates 'try lifestyle first' from 'you've been waiting too long.'
- What's the difference between perimenopause and menopause?
- Perimenopause is the 5–10 year transition before periods stop (hormones fluctuate wildly). Menopause is defined as 12 months without a period. The treatment approaches differ — perimenopause often needs progesterone first.
