What it treats.
Diminished arousal and orgasm intensity. Vaginal dryness from menopause or perimenopause. Mild stress urinary incontinence (the leak-when-you-sneeze kind). Sensitivity loss postpartum. Painful intercourse from atrophy.
The procedure.
Blood draw → PRP processing (15 min) → topical numbing → local lidocaine → PRP injection into the clitoris and anterior vaginal wall. Total chair time ~45 minutes.
Pair with BHRT.
If atrophy is hormone-driven (perimenopause/menopause), BHRT amplifies and prolongs O-Shot results. We frequently treat both at the same visit.
— O-Shot questions from Gilbert patients
Good to know.
- How much is the O-Shot in Gilbert?
- The O-Shot (female PRP) at Tulua Medical is $1,500. Includes blood draw, PRP processing, topical numbing, injection and follow-up.
- What does the O-Shot do?
- It restores sensitivity, lubrication, arousal, and orgasm intensity. Many patients also see improvement in mild stress urinary incontinence and post-menopausal vaginal dryness.
- How does it work?
- We draw your blood, spin it down to concentrate the platelets (PRP), and inject the PRP into specific anatomical areas of the vaginal wall and clitoris using topical and local numbing. Growth factors stimulate tissue regeneration.
- Is it painful?
- No — topical numbing cream + local injection make the procedure very tolerable. Most patients rate it 2–3/10.
- How long do results last?
- 12–18 months for most patients. Some maintain with annual top-ups.
- When will I notice results?
- Some patients feel changes within days. Full effect develops over 8–12 weeks as the growth factors regenerate tissue.
