How much does a
lip flip cost?
At Tulua Medical, a Botox lip flip is a flat $149 — no matter how many units your muscle needs. We price by muscle strength, not unit count, so you never pay more for a stronger orbicularis. It's the smallest, lowest-commitment injectable on our menu: a subtle roll of the upper lip, a softer gummy smile, and a more relaxed resting mouth — performed by a licensed nurse practitioner under the medical direction of Shantel White, DNP.

What you're actually paying for.
A lip flip at Tulua is a flat $149 — full stop. We price by muscle strength, not by unit count, because a stronger orbicularis needing 10 units shouldn't cost more than a lighter muscle needing 4. Your NP dials in the exact dose across 2–4 micro-injections at the upper lip border. No facility fees, no consult fee, no upcharge for brand-name neuromodulator (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Daxxify or Jeuveau).
Lip flip vs lip filler — which is cheaper?
A lip flip is $149 flat. A syringe of HA lip filler starts at ~$800. They do different things: the flip relaxes the muscle so the upper lip rolls outward; filler adds true volume. Many Gilbert patients start with a $149 lip flip, then add filler 2 weeks later for a fuller, softer pout.
How long it lasts (and why it's shorter than other Botox).
A lip flip lasts 6–10 weeks because the orbicularis oris is an active muscle — you talk, eat and kiss with it all day. Daxxify can extend that to 12–14 weeks. Most patients re-treat every 8–10 weeks.
Who should (and shouldn't) get a lip flip.
Great for: a gummy smile, a thin upper lip that disappears when you smile, or a softer alternative to filler. Not ideal if you want real volume, a defined cupid's bow or a fuller pout — that's filler territory. Your free consult includes a recommendation either way.

— Lip Flip questions from Gilbert patients
Good to know.
- How much does a lip flip cost?
- At Tulua Medical in Gilbert, AZ, a Botox lip flip is a flat $149 — regardless of how many units your muscle needs. Pricing is based on the strength of the muscle, not unit count, so you never pay more for a stronger orbicularis. Same price whether we use Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Daxxify or Jeuveau.
- Is a lip flip cheaper than lip filler?
- Yes. A lip flip is $149 flat. Lip filler starts around $800 per syringe of hyaluronic acid. A lip flip subtly rolls the upper lip outward; filler adds true volume. Many patients combine the two — flip first, filler 2 weeks later.
- How long does a lip flip last?
- A Botox lip flip lasts 6–10 weeks. Daxxify can stretch that to 12–14 weeks. Because it relaxes a small, active muscle, the lip flip wears off faster than full-face Botox — most patients re-treat every 2–3 months.
- Does a lip flip hurt?
- It's a tiny pinch — 2 to 4 micro-injections at the vermilion border using a 32-gauge needle. No numbing required. The entire appointment takes under 10 minutes.
- Who performs the lip flip at Tulua Medical?
- Every lip flip is performed by a licensed nurse practitioner under the medical direction of Shantel White, DNP. We do not use estheticians or technicians for any injectable treatment.
- When will I see results?
- The upper lip starts to roll outward at day 4 and peaks at day 10–14. Avoid using a straw, puckering or playing wind instruments for the first 4 hours.
